SkiBound is a member of the Travelopia group of companies offering its schools a high level of financial protection. Fully bonded by the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA) and the Air Travel Organisers' Licensing (ATOL), SkiBound is able to protect your group against unforeseen events as recognised by the membership of the Federation of Tour Operators (FTO). 

Our ski tours go through rigorous health and safety procedures to ensure the safety of all who travel with SkiBound. Operating to the highest standards of care and responsibility, SkiBound is a full member of the School Travel Forum (STF) and a Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) Quality Badge holder. We continue to improve on our quality control as recognised by our accredited memberships. 

Providing valuable outdoor experiences, SkiBound is committed to providing young people with a unique and memorable experience. Schools recognise SkiBound as the market leader in providing ski trips that enable students to improve their personal, social and emotional development. A ski trip provides a one-of-a-kind outdoor adventure allowing students the freedom to gain some independence, strengthen bonds with their peers, stay active and take part in a range of additional team-based activities.

Fully bonded by ABTA, you can be confident you have the financial protection you need, including coverage in the unlikely event of insolvency. SkiBound is committed to the ABTA Code of Conduct, ensuring high service standards and fair terms of trading.

SkiBound is fully bonded by ATOL, protecting your group against financial loss or being stranded abroad. The UK government-led scheme offers financial protection and is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority.

LOtC Quality Badge

Learning Outside the Classroom

Awarded with the Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) Quality Badge, SkiBound continues its pledge to engage in an on-going process to sustain high-quality learning outside the classroom. We have therefore demonstrated we meet the following quality indicators set by the LOtC:
  • We assist our Party Leaders with planning the learning experience effectively
  • We provide accurate information about our school ski tours
  • We provide a range of activities, experiences and resources which meet learner needs
  • We review your SkiBound experience and act upon feedback
  • We have a safety management system in place to manage risk effectively

School Travel Forum

The School Travel Forum (STF) is the awarding body of the LOtC Quality Badge set up to promote best practice and safety in educational travel. As a full member of the STF, SkiBound adheres to a stringent Code of Practice and Safety Management Standards. These fall in line with the Department for Education’s guidelines externally verified every year by independent Health and Safety professionals.
