On the slopes
The Silvretta Nova ski area will take beginners from snowplough to parallel turns in no time with gentle gradients providing the ideal terrain from which to progress. There are a host of gentle cruisers for those progressing onto blues while intermediates will enjoy the series of wide-open reds. Advanced skiers are left out with some of the most challenging black runs in the area on offer with 80% gradients found on Nova and Schwarköpfle. Advanced skiers can take advantage of the lift linking St Gallenkirch and the Hochjoch ski area Finally, no trip to the valley would be complete without undertaking the world’s longest ski tunnel at Hochjoch, which provides an impressive 476-metre ‘short-cut’ right through the heart of the mountain. Providing a very snow-sure environment, the Montafon ski area prides itself on offering something for everyone.
