Why choose this resort?

This high-altitude resort is now well established on the European ski map, set in a high, sunny valley bordered on both sides by steep east and west-facing slopes. Les Deux Alpes is home to The Mont de Lans Glacier which is Europe’s largest skiable glacier at over 3200m, meaning that snow is guaranteed at whatever time of the year. 

On the slopes

Les Deux Alpes offers groups the chance to experience a number of long runs ideal for beginners to intermediates to cruise along leisurely. Across the 225km of piste accessed via the 53 lifts, beginners, as well as more advanced skiers, are spoilt for choice in Les Deux Alpes. You’ll discover excellent nursery slopes around the village, and many gentle runs on the Mont de Lans glacier. The Jandri Express gondola links up with the foot of the glacier providing easy access for groups. The top of the mountain offers plenty of blue runs for confident beginners while expert skiers will be more than satisfied with challenging runs such as the Belle Etoile and Le Grand Couloir. The ‘Snowpark 2600’ is home to the annual World Snowboarders competitions and a snowboarder’s paradise, complete with half-pipes, rails, kickers and a fun park. The glacier’s snowpark, accessed by three lifts covers a host of different lines catering for a range of abilities while the boardercross course affords the more confident skiers and snowboarders the chance to enjoy a race-style course.
