Why choose this resort?

Located less than 2 miles from the Italian border, the charming and traditional French village of Montgenevre is part of the famous Milky Way (Vialattea) ski area. At 1850m, the resort offers high-altitude skiing and great early and late-season skiing.

With plenty of shops and restaurants, the relaxed and quiet atmosphere means it is a safe place to bring school groups. The standard 6-day Monts de la Lune ski pass covers the resorts of Montgenevre, Claviere and Cesana, and includes two days in the Milky Way.

Situated on a quiet road slightly outside of the main resort of Montgenevre, the Hotel Village Club du Soleil is a fantastic option for school groups who want a great range of in-house evening activities.

On the slopes

Depending on the ability of the group, the ESF instructors will either meet the groups at the hotel and take the chairlift situated just 50 metres from the car park, or agree on where to meet the group using the free navette buses to the Front de Neige ski point in the centre of Montegenevre.

The slope that leads directly back to the hotel requires at least two days of ski tuition for beginners but any experienced skiers will be able to do this straight away. With a great nursery slope area, along with 32 green and blue slopes, the local Montgenevre ski area offers great progression. There are also 15 black runs for the expert skier. With great skiing across the Italian border in Claviere and beyond, we are delighted to be able to offer this great ski area once again.
